Q. How can an overseas applicant apply for the Event?
An overseas applicant can apply ONLY through online registrations
Q. What are the various modes of entry fee payment?
- Cheque (only local Bangalore cheques will be accepted)
- Demand Draft (payable at Bangalore)
- Cash (only Indian Rupee currency will be accepted)
- Credit Card (only for Online Registration)
Q. In whose name should the cheque or demand draft be made?
All cheques/demand draft to be drawn in favour of "PROCAM INTERNATIONAL LTD.-W10K"
Q. Which payment mode will be accepted for online registration?
An online applicant can pay ONLY via credit card, net banking or debit card.
Q. How will my entry acceptance be intimated to me?
If you have provided your correct email id on the entry form, you will be sent an email confirmation. A physical confirmation letter will be sent to you by post ONLY if you have not provided your correct email address on the form.

Q. Can I register for more than one race?
No. An individual can apply only for one race in the Event. An application form received with two options chosen, will be rejected. Multiple applications will entail all being rejected.
Q. Can I register for my friend?
No. An applicant has to sign the waiver himself/herself. You cannot register on your friend's behalf.
Q. Is there any criteria for confirming my application for the Open 10K Run category?
I] TIMED APPLICANT: For an applicant who has participated in an event and completed the distance of Open 10K Run within 1 hour 45 min or Half Marathon within 3 hrs or Marathon within 6 hrs 30 min. In order to be eligible for this criteria -
- The running event you have participated in, must have been an AIMS ratified event or an event conducted under the aegis of your state/district athletics association or sports control board,
- The running event was conducted within one year prior to your application date,
- You have attached a photocopy of the official timing certificate issued to you at this event along with this application form.
II] WOMEN'S QUOTA: There are a limited number of running places reserved for women applicants.
* Preference will be given to applications falling within the above 2 criteria
III] GENERAL CATEGORY: Where an applicant does not fall under either of the above criteria, or where an application cannot be confirmed under either of the 2 above criteria, for whatsoever reasons other than the application being rejected/invalid, his/her application will be placed under the general category where limited applications are accepted. Applications under general category will be accepted on first come first served basis.
Q. Can I run with somebody else's running BIB on race day?
No. All World 10K, Open 10K and Corporate Challenge (10 Km) run participant's race day images will be screened visually after the race and if any of the participant is found not wearing the running bib allotted to him/her, the participant registered for that BIB will be disqualified from the race and its future editions.
Q. Under the Open 10K Run, are there any cut-off timings for applying under the 'timing preference'?
Timing certificates showing finish of more than 1 hr 45 min for Open 10K Run will not be considered under the timing preference criteria.
Q. What will happen once I submit my Open 10K Run application under confirmation preference criteria?
Your application for the Open 10K Run will be confirmed based on the preference criteria mentioned above. Please note, confirmation is subject to -
- Verification of documents, where applicable, submitted by you,
- Verification of your application's eligibility under each criterion
- Availability of running spaces under each criterion and
- Entry Rules and Guidelines.
Q. What will happen to my application if I am not able to apply or my application under the criteria 'Timed Applicant'/'Women's Quota', in Open 10K Run race category, is not accepted?
In this case, your application will be placed under the general category, provided your application is not rejected or considered invalid, to be accepted on first come first served basis.
Q. What are the advantages in me submitting a timing certificate I have received in the last one year?
Applications received with a timing certificate attached (having finish times of relevant cut-off timings), have a higher chance of being confirmed in their respective race categories.
Once confirmed, the advantage will be visible on race day (Sunday, 27th May 2012). Confirmed applicants of Open 10K Run race category will be eligible for priority line-up on race day within the line-up area in their respective timing sections. This will be based on the finish time given in the submitted timing certificate.

Q. Are there any confirmation preference criteria in Majja Run / Sr. Citizens' Run / Wheelchair Event?
Confirmation preference criteria do not apply to registration and confirmation process of the Majja Run/Sr. Citizens' Run/Wheelchair Event categories. Applications for these categories will be accepted on first-come-first-serve basis, until close date of registrations or until running places for each of the categories are filled, whichever is earlier
Q. Can I and my group of friends/colleagues submit our applications together as a group?
Yes, but ONLY if you want to participate in the Majja Run or Sr Citizen's Run or Wheelchair Event. No group applications will be accepted for the Open 10K Run race category. Also, please do not club Open 10K Run applications with group applications of Majja Run, Sr Citizen's Run and Wheelchair Event - such applications will be disqualified.
Q. What are the things to be remembered while submitting application forms as a GROUP?
- Where 20 or more individuals submit their entries together, this will constitute a group entry. All members of a group have to fill and sign individual application forms. Under 'Application Type' in the application form, applicants need to choose 'Group', mentioning the group name and size of the group.
- Please DO NOT club World 10K, Open 10K Run and Corporate Challenge (10 km) entries with group entries. Such entries will be disqualified.
- Only one cheque/DD will be accepted for group entries.
- Each group must submit their entries together one time, in a single envelope under a covering letter stating
- Total number of entries enclosed in each race category,
- Number, date, amount and bank name of cheque/DD submitted,
- Name and contact details of a common point of contact for the group;
- Deposit application forms along with requisite application fees and covering letter in drop box located at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium at Room No. 2, Gate No. 3, Sree Kanteerava Stadium, Bengaluru - 560 001 (timing: 10 am to 7 pm).
Q. Can I fill a single application form on behalf of all the members of the group participating in the event?
NO, each member/ runner needs to fill individual application form with all the mandatory fields duly filled and necessary documents attached.
Q. Can a representative submit applications on behalf individuals?
Yes, however, a representative can submit individual applications of not more than 10 people.
Q. Is attaching passport sized photograph with the application form/online application form compulsory?
Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their photograph whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb.
Q. Is attaching a Govt. issued photo ID proof with my application (including online) compulsory?
Yes, it has to be provided with each application form at the time of submission of application. Online applicants need to attach their Govt. issued photo ID proof whilst submitting application; the photograph size should not exceed 75 kb.
Govt. issued photo ID proof will include documents like Passport, Driving License, PAN Card, Election Card, Aadhaar Card, etc.
Q. I am a student and do not possess any of the above ID proofs. What do I submit along with my application?
We will accept valid school / college identity cards for students below the age of 18 years.
Q. On what grounds can my entry be rejected or declared invalid?
Your entry can be rejected on any of the grounds listed below. A regret letter will be sent to the address mentioned in the form spelling out the reason for not accepting your entry.
(i) Incomplete form submitted,
(ii) Waiver not signed,
(iii) Applicant is underage for the race chosen,
(iv) Mutilated form/cheque/demand draft/currency notes submitted,
(v) More than one entry form received from the same applicant,
(vi) Short receipt or non-receipt of entry fee,
(vii) Local Bangalore cheque not submitted,
(viii) Required documents not attached/submitted,
(ix) Cheque or demand draft submitted not cleared by the Bank,
(x) Running places are full,
(xi) Any other reason.
Q. Will I get a refund of my entry fees on my entry not having been accepted?
Your entry fees will be refunded vide a NEFT transfer to you by 30th June 2012. You will be contacted on your email asking for your NEFT / Bank account details. An amount of 50 will be deducted as processing charges.
Q. Can I transfer my application/registration in favour of another person?
Registrations are NOT TRANSFERABLE.
Q. Once applied can I cancel my entry and get refund?
Once you have applied, request for cancellation and refund will not be entertained.
Q. Can I change my race category once I have applied/my entry is confirmed?
Once you have applied for a particular race category, you cannot change your race category.
Q. Can I register for more than one race?

Q. Can I apply for World 10K race category?
Participation in World 10K is open for only international and national elite athletes. To qualify in this race category, please enclose a photocopy of your latest official timing certificate (not earlier than 15th May 2010) along with the application form. Entry into this race category is subject to Event rules and regulations. You cannot register for World 10K race category online.
