"It's not about the pace, it is about the peace."
- Marathon Baba (A very cool book, please check it out!)
Running a marathon is not about crossing that chequered (sometimes it is) finish flag, it is about feeling the cool early morning breeze on your face and feeling the blood gush all through your legs.
Running a marathon is an experience that will stay with you forever. It is a story of a people running for the same cause. When you run with a thousand other strangers, your spirits are lifted and you feel one with the world. As the adrenaline rushes and the drops of sweat fall, you know that it is Nirvana. As Marathon Baba has already said, it is about the peace not the pace.
Pull your socks up, tie up those laces and start running.
No matter where, run in your house, run to the grocery, run to the school, just run!
Grab your friends, grab your family, just run, this time for fun!
Burn some calories, cut some fat, shine brightly like the sun!
You might have guessed that I will try to rhyme again, I will, but just for the pun!
This May in Bangalore, I am running to save water. Water conservation is one of the most serious issues faced by the world today. A major chunk of the Indian population still does not have access to safe drinking water. Run with me this 19th if you believe in conserving water, run with me if you would like to spread the message!
The real marathon only begins at the finish line. Every conscious little thing that we do can go a long way in our bid to conserve water. Once you reach the home after running, and you decide to take a bath, remember that half a bucket of water is more than enough...
